With this method, instead of the old system X-ray known as film shooting, digital films are taken via electronic sensors. These sensors directly transfer the intraoral image to the computer screen.

What are the Advantages of RVG (RadioVisioGraphy)?
- RVG takes shorter time to shoot than old type X-ray films. Also, with this system, you are exposed to less x-rays. In short, it reduces the radiation rate by approximately 90 percent.
- RVG can also perform processes such as bone density and canal length measurement. Therefore, it can be easily used in root canal treatment and implant applications.
- In the method, film bath is not required as in classical X-ray. The image is directly transferred to the computer screen. Therefore, it is considered a faster method. It also reduces costs.
- Digital images can be given to the patient by printing on a paper or transferring to a CD.
