Quality Management Unit

PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHMENT

Our Quality Management Unit was established to improve quality by standardizing and coordinating the practices of our hospital's Corporate Service Management, Patient and Employee-Oriented Services, Health Services, Support Services, and Indicator Management, within the scope of the Ministry of Health's "Regulation on the Improvement and Evaluation of Health Service Quality and the Health Quality Standards Guide." Corporate Services are managed in collaboration with the General Manager and Unit Quality Officers, and their monitoring is carried out by the Quality Management Officer.

All documents related to Corporate Structure, Quality Management, Document Management, Risk Management, Adverse Event Notification System, Emergency and Disaster Management, Training Management, and Social Responsibility are monitored by the Quality Management Officer in accordance with the SKS ADSM booklet, and necessary work is carried out. Patient and Employee-Oriented Services are under the responsibility of the General Manager, Human Resources, Health Services, Administrative Services Directorate, and Patient Rights Officer; their monitoring is carried out by the Quality Management Officer. Patient Experience, Access to Services, End-of-Life Services, and Healthy Working Life are monitored and necessary actions are taken by the Quality Management Officer in accordance with the SKS ADSM booklet. Healthcare Services are under the responsibility of the General Manager, Chief Physician, Warehouse Manager, and Administrative Services Manager, and their monitoring is carried out by the Quality Management Officer. Patient Care, Medication Management, Infection Prevention and Control, Cleaning, Disinfection and Sterilization Services, Radiation Safety, Prosthetic Laboratory Services, and Operating Room are monitored and necessary actions are taken by the Quality Management Officer in accordance with the SKS ADSM booklet. Support Services are under the responsibility of the General Manager, Facility Services Manager, IT Manager, Warehouse Manager, and Archive Manager; their monitoring is carried out by the Quality Management Officer. Facility Management, Hotel Services, Information Management System, Material and Equipment Management, Medical Records and Archive Services, Waste Management, and Outsourcing are monitored and necessary actions are taken by the Quality Management Officer in accordance with the SKS ADSM booklet.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT UNIT DUTIES, POWERS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinating the work carried out within the framework of the SKS (Health, Safety, Environment, and Health) system,

• Monitoring the work towards corporate aims and objectives,

• Managing self-assessments,

• Managing processes related to Adverse Event Reporting,

• Managing processes related to risk management,

• Managing the measurement of Patient Experience Employee Feedback Surveys (survey applications, evaluation of survey results, improvement studies based on survey results, etc.),

• Ensuring the management of documents within the framework of SKS,

• Managing processes related to quality indicators,

• Participating as a member in the committees determined within the framework of SKS,

• Communicating the quality policy to employees and developing employees' quality awareness. • Submitting the quality documents prepared by the relevant unit to the Chief Physician for approval after conducting checks. • Monitors the awareness and implementation of the quality policy in all units of the institution. • Assumes the role of representative in introducing our institution's Quality Policy and Quality Management System to other institutions and organizations and making comparisons with them. • Works in coordination with committee heads. • Works in coordination with departmental quality managers regarding the implementation of the Quality Management System. • Participates in evaluation meetings regarding service delivery.
• Ensures that the practices are implemented in the institution in accordance with the instructions given by the Ministry regarding clinical quality processes. • Follows up on processes related to improving data quality in coordination with the USS data controller. • Reports clinical quality problems encountered in the institution and corrective and preventive action suggestions for these problems to senior management. • Coordinates the implementation of quality improvement activities for nonconformities. • Ensures the creation, identification and maintenance of the Quality Records System. • Preparing/having prepared the Quality Management System documentation, reviewing it, coordinating and monitoring it, and ensuring that the Quality Management System is maintained in a dynamic, continuous, innovative and developmental manner.
