Fiber Post Applications

Fiber Post Application is a procedure performed after root canal treatment to repair teeth that have been weakened due to excessive substance loss and lack sufficient support for crown (veneer) strengthening. It involves using support from the root canal to resorb the tooth's internal structure, increasing its resistance and protecting it against fractures.

Treatment Process:

Canal Preparation: The endodontically treated root canal is shaped using precision drills to the specific depth and width required for the post.

Post Selection: A fiber post with a diameter and taper matching the canal morphology is selected for optimal fit.

Surface Treatment: Bonding agents are applied to both the canal walls and the post to establish a strong chemical and mechanical bond.

Cementation: The post is permanently secured within the root using specialized dual-cure composite resins.

Core Build-up: The portion of the post extending above the gumline is surrounded by composite resin to rebuild the tooth structure, creating a stable abutment for a crown.
